The Dragon User Profile from the previous version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking can also be upgraded to be used in the latest version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. It is not possible to upgrade from Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Professional to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 Premium, as Premium is a lower Edition than Professional.
Upgrading from Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Premium to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 Professional is supported, as Professional is a higher Edition than Premium. It is not possible to upgrade to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 from older versions of the application (such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9). 
Upgrading to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12 is supported from either Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 or Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.
